About Tell Your MP

Why this exists

Democracy works best when people participate. But too often, there's a gap between caring about something and actually doing something about it. We built Tell Your MP to close that gap.

We wanted to make contacting your MP as easy and seamless as scrolling through Instagram or TikTok. If something matters to you, the people who represent you should know about it — and telling them shouldn't be harder than watching the next Reel.

Independent and non-partisan

Tell Your MP is an independent project. We're not affiliated with any political party, campaign group, or organisation. We don't tell you what to think or what to write — we just make it easier to reach the person whose job it is to represent you.

Free and private

Tell Your MP is completely free to use. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no data collection. We don't store your postcode, we don't track your usage, and we never see the emails you send. Your privacy is not the product — it's a principle.

How it works

We use official data from the UK Parliament and postcodes.io to look up your MP based on your postcode. When you click "Send Email", your own email client opens with a pre-filled draft. The email goes directly from you to your MP — we're not involved in that exchange.

The bigger picture

We believe small actions add up. One email might not change everything, but thousands of people regularly contacting their MPs creates a healthier democracy. We want to make it so easy to speak up that there's no reason not to.
